Hopkins is one of 28 hospitals that Red Devils provides services to ease the economic and emotional burdens that can accompany breast cancer. [In 2007, Red Devils support included paying for treatment transportation, house cleaning, meals and groceries, home care, complementary therapies, prescription drug co-payment assistance, and other critical one-time needs. The Red Devils was founded in 2002 by the families and friends of two incredible women, Jessica Cowling and Ginny Schardt, who died from breast cancer. The Red Devils is their legacy to the more than 4,200 Marylanders who are diagnosed with breast cancer each year.]

Kilimanjaro Dr. Leisha Emens will once again being doing an incredible mountain climb this year to raise money for breast cancer research. The climbing event is to simulate the experience a breast cancer patient endures during breast cancer treatment, to become a breast cancer survivor.
