The Johns Hopkins Avon Foundation Breast Center provides a comprehensive evaluation, treatment and referral service for women with breast problems including lumps, pain, rashes, nipple discharge and other common breast concerns.
The service also provides both routine breast cancer screening as well as intensive screening and breast cancer prevention services for women at high risk for breast cancer.
The program is staffed by several advanced practice nurses who have a combined work experience in breast care of over 30 years. Following initial evaluation and counseling, further diagnostic, treatment, follow-up and/or referral needs are provided by this program.
Many patients have been followed for breast cancer screening and prevention for over a decade and patient satisfaction with this service is high.
