2/26/2006How common is it for women taking Tamoxifen (I'm 2.5 years into mine) to have liver function numbers rising (progressively getting higher with each blood workup, every 3 months)? Is there documentation with regards to Tamoxifen causing liver damage and/or cancer? My doctor is baffled. So am I, and I'd like to get to the bottom of this. Since chemo, I have developed diabetes, had my first cavity in a tooth, developed liver issues and kidney issues, as well as ongoing progressive pain in my right hip, and had a change in my cholesterol. I was as healthy as a horse before my cancer was detected. Alas...

2/26/2006there is some documentation of this. doesn't usually keep rising though. he may want to present your case to tumor board for discussion.
