3/30/2006I am 29 and was recently diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer, 0.5cm IDC with a large area (5 cm) of DCIS. The IDC was within the bed of DCIS. I'm ER+, PR-, and Her2-, grade 2. Node negative. I had a bilateral mastectomy due to my young age and fear of recurrence. I have NO family history of breast cancer. I'm finishing radiation due to positive margins on the DCIS. My doctor said no chemo, and no Tamoxifen either. I'm wondering if you would agree with the 'no Tamoxifen' even though I'm ER+. Also, my doctor said I could go ahead and have more children. I'm very nervous about recurrence, and have more children and not doing Tamoxifen seem out of order. What do you think? Thank you so much in advance.
