| 6/6/2006 | I have lost confidence in the surgeon who was going to perform my Lumpectomy with sentinal node biopsy. My scenario is I am 48 prememoposal with ILC , ER/PR +, Her2 neu -, and an ill defined strong enhancing lesion measuring 3.8x2.8x3.4 cm, node status unkown. Can I afford to wait the probable 2-3 weeks to reschedule surgery? | ||

| 6/6/2006 | in the big scheme of things a few weeks doesn't really matter. the bigger issue though is whether to have chemo first and shrink the tumor down. that's what would happen here. if you want to come here for evaluation and surgical care just call 443-287-2778. you need to bond well with your surgeon. | ||

Ask an Expert is a free service operated by health care professionals at the Johns Hopkins Avon Foundation Breast Center.
