| 1/12/2007 | I am 51 yr old and diagnosed with Stage III IDC tumor 4cm with lymph node involvement on Nov. 2006. I have had 4 sessions of AC and just had a loading dose of Herceptin-HER2+/estrogen on the boarderline. My oncologist wants me to now do 12 weeks of Taxatere with Herceptin (12 mos)before surgery,I want to have a bilateral mascetomy, surgeon is not sure about that, and then she wants 5 weeks of radiation. From what I have found, 12 weeks of Taxatere seems extereme, and I wonder should I wait to have surgery for 12 more weeks since the tumor did not shrink with AC? Should I get another opinion? Any help is greatly appreciated. | ||
