6/20/2009Lillie - No need to post this as it's a thank you note... I'm the 40 year old who wrote in about my pain-in-the-rear HER2+++ tiny tumors. Thank you for your quick response. The disagreement about small, early HER2+ cancers is quite interesting. I pulled and read some of the retrospective studies and will be watching with curiosity for any prospective treatment trials. We'll see if my chemo choice gets validated over the long run. I imagine I am not the only person who's making this decision this year. What a nice wish you gave me, for peace. I hope you are peaceful too. You give a lot of people an outlet for their worries, which is a very kind and selfless thing to do. Off to chemo! Blue skies. L.

Ask an Expert is a free service operated by health care professionals at the Johns Hopkins Avon Foundation Breast Center. Due to the volume of questions and their complexity, there are times when medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists or oncology nurses are consulted for their input. These individuals volunteer their time for this service and will respond as soon as they are able. Please do not post or send the same question to us in multiple locations or categories.
