1/20/2011aMy 21 year old daughter has 6 lumps in her left breast with largest being 6cm. She has 4 lumps in rt. breast. She has had many ultrasounds and a needle biopsy and a cone biopsy which indicated fibroadenoma. She had surgery to remove the 6cm and a 3cm and 2 other lumps in the left breast and they all diagnosed as benigh phyllodes. They are now doing another ultrasound and scheduling surgery to remove remainder in the left breast. My question is because she has so many is she at a higher risk? Also should she have the 4 in the right breast removed? She is being seen by a general surgeon now...should she be seen by a specialist?
