|LCIS - Lobular Carcinoma In Situ
Questions about lobular carcinoma in situ.
|Asked||Publicly Submitted Question|
|2/7/2011||Diagnosed with LCIS in Jan 2011. Was just at my Internist for a follow up of my thyroid and we were discussing medication. He said I should not be using the premarin cream (prescribed by my GYN after my LAVH in 2007) at all because of the estrogen being absorbed in my system. I use it only once a week.My breast surgeon said it was okay to use. Whose advice should I follow?|

|2/7/2011||If you haven't yet, you should be having a consultation with a medical oncologist who specializes in high risk. usually however patients are steered away from taking any form of estrogen in pill or vaginal cream form. you might actually be advised to take tamoxifen for prevention of breast cancer.|
