8/31/2011I discovered my right side breast cancer since March 2006. I had a biopsy on late August 2006 and it was ER/PR 75%/85%. I did not have surgery since I was moving one company to another. So far 3 companies but I have to go through once more in the future. I take arimidex until 2009 and reduced my tumor significantly, However, based on MRI's report, I changed different medication and found that the tumor has grown back within 6 months. I started take the Armidex again to stablize the size. The cancer size is greater than an inch (3 cm x 2.9 cm x 2.1 cm) at the beginning and I still have a similar size.

In 2010, I have very small tumor growth in my armpit and started growing somewhat and I would like to have CRYOTHERAPY/CRYOSURGERY on my breast cancer and ArmPit Tumor.

The doctors I've visited, did not concern of my new growth but my Breast Cancer. So far, the doctors are/were recommended me to treat me with traditional chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy.

I am trying to contact with a doctor who can perform the CRYOTHERAPY/CRYOSURGERY. Is it possible for anyone of you can recommend the doctor who can perform this function?

Thank you,

9/1/2011Thank you for turning to the Johns Hopkins Breast center with your question. Please consult with breast cancer experts at a Comprehensive Breast Center for a complete and thorough evaluation. If you have metastasis (spread) of breast cancer to your axillary nodes (underarm), you need evaluation by a breast medical oncologist to see if cancer may have spread even beyond the underarm. There are other medications you could be started on, and other treatments, so please seek a second opinion. Cryosurgery under the arm is not indicated or advised for what you have described. Best wishes.
