| 10/9/2011 | When breast cancer metastasis occurs - does it make a difference where it occurs (bones vs liver vs lung) in the length of survival? Can you also tell me how long it takes to get an appointment for mbc and how one would decide which oncologist to see or is that determined by the person recieving the requests for appointments? thank you | ||

| 10/10/2011 | Thank you for turning to the Johns Hopkins Breast Center. Today, many women diagnosed with stage V metastatic breast cancer will be treated as with any chroinic condition, such as diabetes. Each pt is different and will have different outcomes, based on several factors such as biology of the tumor, including proteins created by the tumor, which assist metatastasis; the size and location of the metastasis; your age and general health; and the types of treatment you have received in the past. MBC treatment helps control the cancer and improves your quality of like by reducing symptoms, and alleviaiting pain. Seek treatment with a breast medical oncologist. If we can be of any help, please call Sheila @ 443-287-BRST (2887) for an appoinment with a breast medical oncologist. Hope this helps, and best wishes. | ||
