10/10/2011Hello, in response to my previous question imaging and pathology disconcordance (ALH diagnosis) what is the probability of breast cancer in the presence of ALH? The pathology report did not advocate for any further surgeries, but did indicate that concordance with imaging should be ensured. Is another biopsy required to ensure concordance? What would be the typical protocol? I appreciate all your feedback. Best regards.

10/10/2011A finding of ALH imparts a four to five fold increased risk of breast cancer that affects either breast. If this ALH found on core needle biopsy, then further excisional (open) biopsy needed Hope this helps.
