(double lumpectomy planned). Just did DCIS Right breast lumpectomy. Not clear margins. 10-17 2nd lumpectomy Right breast. I have NOT seen an oncologist doctor or radiologist as yet. What I have is a general surgeon, because he is the one who works in the women's center at the hospital where I go. I have also undergone a D&C with hysteroscopy on 7-1 which led to early signs of endometrial cancer. 8-12 Complete Hysterectomy AND hernia repair. I had a bad vaginal infection the 2nd week after that surgery and am now suffering another infection - possibly Group B strep. Vaginal pain is quite SEVERE and BURNING. Have no answers with that yet. I'm exhausted. What is my next step with the breasts? | ||

Please note: This service is not intended to provide primary medical advice concerning specific medical care or treatment. Ask an Expert is a free service operated by health care professionals at the Johns Hopkins Avon Foundation Breast Center. Due to the volume of questions and their complexity, there are times when medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists or oncology nurses are consulted for their input. These individuals volunteer their time for this service and will respond as soon as they are able. Please do not post or send the same question to us in multiple locations or categories.
