11/20/2011Dear Ms. Shockney,
Thank you for your reply.
My wife(my life) already have undergone 8th period of HERCEPTIN therapy. Her loading dose was 8mg/Kg and latter doses were 6mg/Kg. her weight at the moment is about 67Kg. so her normal dose can be about 402mg. because of some limitations we had to change our onchologist and he (new onchologist) insists of using all of one 440mg vial. this concerns me about over dosing. please help me. (I can communicate with you in an easier way rather than him)

11/20/2011It really is very important to consult with a breast medical oncologist about this matter. It may be you would benefit from both toghether, and not just one or the other. Thank you dear.

Please note: This service is not intended to provide primary medical advice concerning specific medical care or treatment. Ask an Expert is a free service operated by health care professionals at the Johns Hopkins Avon Foundation Breast Center. Due to the volume of questions and their complexity, there are times when medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists or oncology nurses are consulted for their input. These individuals volunteer their time for this service and will respond as soon as they are able. Please do not post or send the same question to us in multiple locations or categories.
