| 1/30/2012 | Thank you very much for your swift response on my norwegian 60-year old mothers condition. The hospital did several attempmts to get precise biopsy of the liver tumors but it was very diffcult as the lumps where so minute. It turned out though that my mothers tumor was NOT estrogen sensitive now. Before we contact the hospital my mother wants to know if your hospital could offer different treatment options to radiotherapy and chemo - stem cell therapy is what she believes may help her despite my scepticism that is not given to breast-cancer recurrencies. PS This was my final question. | ||

| 1/30/2012 | we are not able to offer her stem cell therapy. she may be a candidate however for our breast cancer vaccine clinical trial. If she is out of the country it would be very difficult to participate. if she is here in the states however then it is quite possible. for more information about it call 410-955-5000 and ask to be transferred to Dr Leisha Emens office. | ||
Please note: This service is not intended to provide primary medical advice concerning specific medical care or treatment. Ask an Expert is a free service operated by health care professionals at the Johns Hopkins Avon Foundation Breast Center. Due to the volume of questions and their complexity, there are times when medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists or oncology nurses are consulted for their input. These individuals volunteer their time for this service and will respond as soon as they are able. Please do not post or send the same question to us in multiple locations or categories.
