|2/4/2012||I am 56 had a Mastectomy, after biopsy found 3 multi-focal points. it's er+ pr+ her2 + 2cm. negative node. onc wants TCH + Herceptin. very scared of Herceptin for it's heart side effects.|

|2/4/2012||Actually the "H" in your TCH is herceptin. Herceptin is an incredible drug. biologically targeted treatment is technically isn't chemo. You would benefit getting a formal second opinion from a medical oncologist so that this can be further discussed, however such a recommendation for treatment is quite common. patients under a special heart test before starting and are closely monitored with the majority of patients not experiencing any cardiac effects. Anticipate also being advised to take hormonal therapy after these treatments are done.|
