2/12/2012I have been diagnosed with breast cancer stage T1 Ni M0 (IIB, ER+ PR+ Cerb B2 -ve. I have been prescribed with 6 chemo, radical radiotherapy and tamoxifen. I have just finished my 5 out 6 chemo cycle last week and is due to start on Tamoxifen 2 weeks after my 6th chemo. I would like to go on LDN.

My Question: Can I take LDN together with tamoxifen? If not, which should I choose?

RepliedJHU's Breast Center Reply
2/12/2012It's important to not add anything to tamoxifen or any other hormonal therapy without the blessing of your medical oncologist. little is known about such combinations. so call and talk with him/her about this before pursuing it.

Please note: This service is not intended to provide primary medical advice concerning specific medical care or treatment. Ask an Expert is a free service operated by health care professionals at the Johns Hopkins Avon Foundation Breast Center. Due to the volume of questions and their complexity, there are times when medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists or oncology nurses are consulted for their input. These individuals volunteer their time for this service and will respond as soon as they are able. Please do not post or send the same question to us in multiple locations or categories.
