| 4/3/2012 | I had a bilateral mastectomy with TRAM flap reconstruction at the end of Jan, 12. Long story short, the flaps slowly died and after 3 more surgeries and 3 weeks on a wound vac, my surgeon "stitched me up" last week but the wounds are still discharging quite a bit. I start chemo next week and I am concerned about healing with the chemo. I don't want to be changing dressings all the time and my skin is so raw on top of it all. Any advice? Should I hold off on chemo? | ||

| 4/3/2012 | yikes. sorry to hear all of these surgical complications happening to you. Healing will definitely be impaired once chemo starts. Request that your medical oncologist and surgeon talk THIS week to discuss timing of getting chemo underway. | ||
