4/14/2012Hi,

I am interested in achieving a very natural looking breast reconstruction (e.g. not a lot of volume on the top part of my breast). Are there particular styles/profiles of implants I should talk to my surgeon about?

My breasts were at about 325 ml before my bilateral mastectomy, and I want a comparable result for my reconstruction to permanent implants. How much should my expanders be filled--the same amount or larger to stretch the skin?

Thanks very much!

4/14/2012Thank you for turning to the Johns Hopkins Breast Center. All implants will have more fullness on the top of the breast. The profile of the implant is determined based on the width of your breast pocket and does not really change this.
