| 4/18/2012 | At your institution, does FISH results for Her2neu always trump IHC results? Path report, after neoadjuvant chemo, tumor came back as 2+ for Her2, or equivocal. It was sent for FISH which came back "negative". Had an "o.k." response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy, tumor did shrink, but they discovered two positive nodes, which were not found on any imaging studies at diagnosis or post chemotherapy. ALND was performed for a total of 20 nodes taken, with only those first two sentinel being positive. I am highly ER/PR+ with IDC. Just worried about that equiovcal Her2 IHC. I know that is a pathologist interpretation and FISH is not? | ||
