| 4/19/2012 | In November 2009 I was diagnozed with IDC 0.7cm,stage 1.grade 1,er/pr+,her2-, clean nodes, no LVI,onco test DX score 6. I was 68 years old. I had double mastectomy and since then take anastrozole. I have pain in my hips that comes and goes,it seems to depend on my position in the bed during the sleep. Advil helps only temporarily. how the pain from bone mets is different from artritus or osteopenia? Could it be bone mets in the hips? Would x-ray show what it is? | ||

Ask an Expert is a free service operated by health care professionals at the Johns Hopkins Avon Foundation Breast Center. Due to the volume of questions and their complexity, there are times when medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists or oncology nurses are consulted for their input. These individuals volunteer their time for this service and will respond as soon as they are able. Please do not post or send the same question to us in multiple locations or categories.
