5/3/2012I'm a 30 year old female, Caucasian. My grandmother on my father's side had a double mastectomy from breast cancer and survived - around the age of 55 (Sorry I can't give your her DX, she has since passed on, this was a while ago). My family has an extensive history of several types of cancer.

I have a 14 month old daughter,I breast fed her for about 1 year. For the past month my right breast has been very tender. My OBGYN had an ultrasound done, and nothing showed up. Grateful, I let the pain go on for a bit. I recently went back because it hasn't gone away, and now she can palpate a cyst. This morning its hurting more and I've noticed a pea sized hard knot about 2 inches above the original sore spot, more towards the armpit. The cyst she felt earlier is still there. This knot does not hurt, but its quite hard. Should I see a breast specialist or be re-evaluated?
