Ask an Expert is a free question-and-answer service about breast cancer and breast health that is available on weekends. If you'd like to ask a question or comment, please visit us again on Saturday or Sunday. In the meantime, please search the existing topics using the search tool at the top of the page. It's quite possible that one of our many existing topics already addresses your question.

7/8/2017I am a nurse in Cameroon who recently develped passion for breast cancer. I have taken an elearning course on breast management with the University of Sydney, Australia and I am also a member of the international nurses in cancer care, ESMO, ESO and I am presently working on a community breast cancer program project.
I believe that visiting your institution to observe will be very resourceful.
Kindly tell me if you do receive observers like me.

7/9/2017Send an email to me privately at so that i can connect you up with the School of Nursing here to see if they are accepting applications for observerships. if so, then a plan can be made for you to be in the breast center for a period of time. no guarantees as i am not sure what is feasible currently. glad you have developed a passion about this field of medicine. BTW, consider joining AONN-- academy of oncology nurse navigators. i lead that organization and it is a great way to network with lots of other nurses who are specialized in breast cancer given about 25% of the members (more than 6200) are breast cancer nurses.
